The red sandstone cliffs overlook the sea from over 70 meters high and offer a magnificent panorama. Your steps will lead to the botanical reserve of Fréhel’s heath. On the Eastern side, below the cliff, you will see the huge rock of the Grande Fauconnière, shaped as a leaning tower. This rock hosts seabirds. You will be able to observe several birds species because this place is a bird sanctury (guillemots, pingouins, cormorans, seagulls and so on)
Frehel’s heath is one of the most visited sites in Brittany. Cap Fréhel became a listed site in 1967. Nowadays all constructions are forbidden and the site is protected. At the top of Cap Frehel-Cap d’Erquy cliffs appears the biggest costal moor territory.
